Our ranking index is entirely autonomous. ICICT does not accept sponsorship, advertising, or 'premium listings' from any institution. Rankings are determined solely by our proprietary, data-driven audit framework.
We conduct a rigorous 'Legality & Compliance Check.' We cross-reference every program against official University Grants Commission (UGC) and Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) databases. For foreign-affiliated degrees, we specifically verify the 'Letter of Recognition' to ensure the qualification is accepted for government employment, professional memberships (e.g., IESL, SLMC), and local industry standard compliance.
ICICT is a dynamic framework, not a static annual list. We maintain an active monitoring loop. If an institution fails to sustain the faculty ratios, infrastructure standards, or student support levels required for their tier, their ranking is downgraded in real-time. We are committed to transparency—if an institution's performance dips, our data will reflect that decline immediately to protect prospective students.
Our weighting model is designed to mirror the 'Student-Success Path.' We assign higher percentages (20%) to 'Academic' and 'Student Excellence' because these are the direct outcomes that impact a student's degree and career future. While 'Social Responsibility' is vital for a holistic campus experience, it is weighted (5%) to ensure it complements—rather than dilutes—the core focus on educational quality and graduate employability.

For pillars like 'Academic' and 'Recognition,' we utilize a 'Regulatory Triangulation' protocol: we cross-reference institution-provided data against independent UGC, TVEC, and international accreditation databases. If the data submitted to us does not align with official government or accreditation records, that pillar is automatically flagged as 'Non-Compliant' and the score is adjusted accordingly.
